He began his teaching career in 2002 as an ESE teacher in Orlando, Florida. While in the Orange County Public School system, Mr. Hoessler served in a variety of additional capacities including a middle school mathematics teacher, math coach, testing coordinator, and dean of students. He also had the pleasure of serving the Liberty Pines Academy community as their principal for four years.
Mr. Hoessler believes that all students can learn and a team of teachers are the key to unlocking their full potential through fostering relationships, having high expectations for all students, implementing cognitively engaging and motivating lessons, and collaborating as a team with their colleagues. He also understands that it takes the contributions of all stakeholders to ensure a student’s success.
His leadership philosophy is weighed heavily in fostering relationships with all stakeholders, building capacity in the staff, and creating opportunities for shared leadership. Modeling these traits supports a learning environment that is supportive of each other, maintains high expectations, and promotes a collaborative nature campus wide.
Mr. Hoessler has been happily married since 2013 and has three children with his amazing wife, Kelly, who is also an educator in SJCSD. During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, coaching his boys’ football teams, and playing golf with family and friends.
